HI-POT test instruction for A700 and Original InnoVet W300 (S304).

Preparing for HI POT TEST of A700 Tank:
High Potential Testing for A700 Rectifier breakdown.
When TUBE is NOT connected, system is unloaded. Logically measured mA or mAs should be ZERO.
IF significant mA is measured, A700 Tank needs repair or replacement before you'll make progress.

1. Measure AC Volts Common KV Minor to Common KV Major ( where the RC Suppressor is connected ).
Adjust same tap switches to Set for 170 VAC - > note value in KV display <
Note additional KV display values for
140 VAC (Major KV 1 click down)
110 VAC (next Major step down ).

2. Turn off the generator, remove BOTH HV Cables from A700,
	prevent ARC over
make sure some transformer oil is covering those contacts at the bottom of the empty sockets.

3. Install/connect your meter to measure mAs or mA :
in series with RED M wire or M1 wire will be AC mA.

4. Set for 300 mA large and 1 / 20 sec. exposure ( 0.050s )

 turn ON and make exposures.
Starting at 110 VAC point, expect no breakdown, no measured mAs.
( estimated 60kV created in the tank: 30kV anode, 30 kV Cathode )

increase KV Major 1 click for 140 VAC, make another exposure ( approx 80-90 KV total )

increase KV Major 1 click for 170 VAC, make another exposure ( approx 110 kV total )

When mAs is registered, try again after increasing exposure time to 1/10 sec ( 0.100s )

IF tank is failing, Doubling time should increase measured result by same or more.

When TANK is proven to be GOOD, use Anode side of Tank, and Anode side of Tube to test your HV Cables.
!! Disconnect Cathode side at BOTH A700 HV Tank AND the Xray Tube. !!

Make exposures again referring to any mA measurement: 0 mA = good cable, any measured mA = bad Cable.
